Man my computer bearley stays on when i run wagner sharp and an impulse?? Is it like this for everyone else o do i need an upgrade. hahaha
My computer only holds 3.?? Gigs of ram

Does every other guitar plug in run this hard???

Most of my songwriting sessions have at least 8 instances of TSS, Wagner, and Voxengo Boogex (with impulses) running simultaneously, so I'd say something is amiss with yours...

And also, you mention it eats your CPU but you say you have 3 GB of RAM. That's not the same thing, so you should tell us about your CPU too. However, if it's any typ of a modern CPU, let's say atleast a Dual Core, then it shouldn't be a problem what so ever, to just run a guitar simulation chain... or even several.

Yeah, impulses are heavy on CPU, which is why we've only somewhat recently actually been able to use them for music. But with even a semi-new CPU (any dual core CPU), you shouldn't have any problems running multiple impulses. However, impulses do not use RAM, so if you get a RAM usage spike when using them, it is something related to the DAW or the plugin(s) GUI.

Yea I use the free wagner sharp plug in and thats what it was... shit i hope all amp sims aint like that

nah my 3.8ghz quad core eats impulses :D

Hah, if I knew how to make impulses I'd create one that would leave your quad core crying for momma! With a tail like a Brontosaurus!!!
It wouldn't sound any good though... :erk:

FWIW, my Athlon XP 3000+ also gets kinda eaten when running multiple instances of Wagner (MK I) for quad tracking, though I'm running them into a group track and only use one instance for the impulse. I bought a new comp but am hesitating to turn it into the dedicated recording PC... as except for the issue above the old one works just fine.
