Is there anything new out there in the metal world?

My grrlfriend played me some Interlock recently. They seem to have a bit of everything in the cyber/industrial/metal end of things, with a touch of Goth thrown in for good measure too - I normally hate that kind of music by they caught my interest.

hahaha... Cheers man. I guess the goth thing is from the female vocals? Wait till you hear our new female singer (she's on the skinless video) she's shit hot (and a massive black metal fan) Some of the vocals that girl can do...

Haha, the goth thing is just a general feeling I got, especially when you slow things down - you've got that whole ethereal thing going on. I just looked at the website, I think I may have seen the new grrl in her old band. The name definitely rings a bell. Anyways man, it's good stuff :kickass: Now you just need to play a gig closer to me

aint nothin wrong with a lil media playa, playa. . .

anyways, lately my playlist has included but isn't limited to:

wintersun - rediculously sick power metal
communic - incredible 3 piece metal band
arsis - good melodic death metal
nevermore - duh
tetsuo - weird jazzcore shit

sometimes i'll throw on some weird hardcore like deadwater drowning, the red chord, and psyopus but i'll rock anything off black market activity records, they have a lot of new funky shit going on... um.. also worth mentioning: cannae, mendeed, cephalic carnage and obviously between the buried and me

when it comes to synth, i really like what muse is doing, they have some of the best synth riffs i've ever heard, in my opinion...

if you are gonna check out only one of the bands mentioned, u probably wanna go with WINTERSUN!!!!

hope one of the bands rock your casbah..

I've had your album for a while now, awesome stuff mate. Any new material coming soon!??

Some friends of mine have a project called Soulswarm. They recorded and mixed 11 songs themselves last year, and are now looking for a record deal. The music are influenced by Morbid Angel, Death, Slayer etc.

I`m an old Death fan, so I love this stuff!

thanks man, greatly appreciated!
new stuff? well, we're currently writing and demoing new shit right now. it's going to be even more diverse and probably a lot heavier in places (we've got gravity blasts and insane screaming bits lined up already). we're really looking forwards to getting it out.
Hopefully we'll have it recorded over the end portion of the year... we'll see.

Oh, and Steve-Alibi...
Thanks once again man. Where do you actually live? I'll have to schedule in a day for our next tour, hahaha.
Christina used to sing in ode of eternity sometime back.
As for the slowed down bits. I've never really listened to a lot of goth to be honest, I was more interested in Anathema and my dying bride... :waah:
damn you got to love all that depressing stuff.

I think the new material is edging closer to dance sounds in places. I guess it depends a lot on sound sources.

Anyway, Cheers guys!

just got the autumn offering's new cd, embrace the gutter. its pretty good, the production is awesome and the guitar solos are good, they have a touch of a southern feel to it too which is a nice change
