Is Vintersorg Pro-White/Nazi?

I dunno man, good question, Im new to them, so I wouldnt know but if they are thats kinda fucked up..o wellz, I can disregard a musicians personal opionions as long as they are not singing about it and promoting it. I highly doubt they are though, I think they may sing about nationalistic pride, but not pro aerian, but then again, I havent been exposed to much of their music.

btw Im friends with the idiots in Grom, their gf's goto my college.

I know already SOME bands that are playing Viking Metal (Or more like Vintersorg: used to play Viking Metal) and that are being sold at such sites and are quite popular in the nazi scene, just for the background of Viking Metal. However, the bands despise this, but what can the band do about that, really?

Worser is, when even nazis start coming to their gigs and you suddenly would have to play in front of all skin people then. Happened to Menhir once, and they were, least to say, very upset and disappointed.

I don´t know why they always abuse the Viking Mythology, Hitler took parts of different Myths, changed them for his needs and used them for his stupid ideology, e.g. the Cross Symbol is lend from Sanskrit...

Appearing in the music cataloque of this side really sucks!

When did Vintersorg ever play viking metal? I don't think he has.

that's right. i think V have strong folkish influence, but not viking

yeah, i haven't heard any real viking sound from Vintersorg, but he's great. Don't go assuming i'm some nazi/aryan or anything, i just saw some special on "hatecore" on VH1 the other night, and thought i'd check out the bands featured (recently i had been exposed to a bunch of shitty NSBM bands), and see just who was nazi and who wasn't.

I guess our statement on the site says it all in "the band" section, and if they sells it at an political site it's out of our hands. You should ask Napalm records if they're doing business with them.

mr V

The nazis used the Norwegian play Peer Gynt under the second world war..That doesn't mean Edvard Grieg and Henrik Ibsen were nazis..

Nazis will always use our culture and claim they are the only one who "preserves" it..

Some also claims that The Lord of The Rings is a racial book...

So the best thing concerning nazis and propaganda is just to ignore them, because they spread so many lies..

from what i understood in that article the guy who wrote it is an ignorant Political-correctness-freak!

what would he have wanted tolkien to write! to let the orks found an anti-defamation-platform and demand their civlirights? to let aragorn explore his female side! and the hobbits accuse the warriors of rohan to be machos, instead of going to war they should help their wives with the children and housework instead!!

man, i'm so fed up with this pathetic, ignorant claim-to-be political-correct bullshit trying to take over everything! i really get angry when i read fucking shit like this! :(

he he, Fleischwolf. Agree.

(The following is just an example, ok?!! No political stand)
I bet if I wrote a song called "I hate nazis", and the only lyrics
was "I hate nazis" x10 (and nothing else around it that might
suggest the song being a joke at all), then this could actually
happen:

Some political jerk could say that this is ironic, and what it really
means is "I love nazis" because saying you hate them makes you
bring the focus to nazis, and that would also mean that someone
would find this hate stuff cool, and hence this song would've
helped the nazi sympathizers instead of expressing a feeling of
repulsion towards them.... (or something similar... u know.)
well well - anything it possible, it seems

So if someone abuses stuff like Vintersorg, that's their twisted
opinion on the matter. I know I'd be pissed off about it, even if
I couldn't do much about it.

I see Vintersorg as 'national'-romantic (is that the terms in
English also?) music, not viking. He's expressed a lot
of feelings around the nature of his country in particular, mythical
feelings etc etc... Well that's my _personal_ perception, feel free to
disagree. You too, Mr. V ;)

i really agree with you lordenlil! this agressive "antifa" behavior which doesn't different between hatemovements and love for ones country is a very dangerous one! in fact they don't realize that they are just as "fascist" as the "nazis" they wanna fight! they attack everything which they think isn't right! and they surely would even like to burn some books which they think are bad just like the nazis did! i really don't give a shit about their opinion! i like to think for myself, thank you!

Yeah you can read the band section. V was also quoted in this interview saying:

"If the word nationalist is a bad word, I may be breaking some barriers. But I must be frank and tell you that I have no sympathies for nazism. I simply love my country, and if people call me a nazi because of it, then it's them who has misunderstood the concept, not me."

Here were I live, everything reminds of the Nazis, just to mention the beautiful Wewelsburg and my beloved Externsteine...

Hey Morg...I do believe you're tung's a bit brown from all that ass licking! ;) Get a thought of your own why don't you? Rather than always taking the good word of Mr. V!
