A metalcore band approached me and asked me to mix their single.

Guess who is their production reference?

Well, it's Joey, but that includes Attack Attack hahaha

Now where did I put that tact?

Ah I was hoping this would be a good story. Like someone brought a mix from Ermz or CJ... But no. Damn kids and their Tact

All you gotta do is just make it really loud and not even mix the damn thing. Make sure it clips and everything will be so overly distorted, they'll think It sounds brutal.
Easy way to get some cash for a mix!

Gotta be honest.. I've never heard 'clipping' or anything being 'overly distorted' in any of joey's mixes.

Yeah as much as I hate the bands he does, I think we all agree Joey's a great mixer.... Just a shame he doesn't get to work with better bands.

dude just imagine what it's like trying to find bands to work with when you live 20 mi. away from the guy...fucking joey this, joey that, blah blah blah

as much love as i have for the guy, it would be nice if bands around here would get his nuts out of their mouths for even a few minutes!

I live 15 minutes away from Ermz... You tell me the meaning of happiness and sorrow all at once? :p

Hasn't the Sturg worked on a few top ten records? From a band perspective why wouldn't you want a mixes like his if you play a similar style? Be it luck or skill he clearly helps bands connect with their audience. It's not my thing, but musically I'm somewhere else entirely.
