Talisker! I'm going through a bottle of this right now. I love me some peat and smoke, anything from the Islands or Islay. I'd love to try some Isle of Jura but I can't find it where I live.

When I can't afford a single malt I go for Irish. Black Bush and Redbreast. Redbreast is almost as pricey as a single malt though...

For American, I take Buffalo Trace or W.L. Weller bourbons. The 12 year old Weller is dirt cheap and AMAZING.

Whiskey/whisky is fucking great.

not really suitable for drinking but i've tried the JD barbecue sauce today...too much vinegar, overlays everything :/

I bought some Canadian whiskey for a change. Clean, crisp & Canadian - Lord Calvert. Well yeah, but has very little flavour. Very easy to drink and get's you drunk so I like it :)

For all vodka drinkers heres awesome song I just discovered. To be enjoyed with multiple vodka shots :D

Just had a sip of the W.L.Weller 7 years old Kentucky Straight Bourbon... I'm not yet sure what to think of it, but I'm quite new on the whiskey drinking thing. I've been a wine afficionado for quite a few years, having done my German civil service of 9 months in a wine research laboratory in south Germany (I fucking miss that job.). But since I'm half American and my Dad's from Kentucky I figured I'd give it a try. Has anyone got any suggestions other than W.L.Weller? Bourbon preferably, but Scotch or Irish Whiskey would also be very interesting.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a big JD fan. Love the stuff.
But... I was in Scottish company the past week, the guy gave me a bottle of Glennfiddich 15....HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Glennfiddich 15 > Jack Daniels

While even JD is an amazing drink for me glennfiddich owns the shit out of it.
Apperantly the Glennfiddich 30 is even more amazing, but comes with a price (€250).
