Jaska's drumkit

Hmm, I only know that he uses Sabian cymals. It seems that he has an endorsement deal with them. His bass drum is from Tama so I think that his toms are also from Tama.

I heard that he has his own signature sticks.

By the way, he only uses one bass drum with twin pedal. Never two bass drums. I noticed that he also uses his twin pedal when he plays on another drumkit (like on a festival which all bands share) with two bass drums. Cool, eh? ;)

Do you also know something about the size of his cymbals?
Sorry, no idea. But here you can take a look at his drumkit. He uses two hi-hats.

As for the twin pedal thing: Of course two bass drums look more impressive on a drumkit but I also respect twin pedals. Am I the only one???

No, you aren't... i don't give a flying shit about impression... a drum kit has to be serviceable not impressive. By the way... if you're good at the drums, you can play the stuff other people play with two bassdrums as well with just one

What?? Are saying that someone can do the same with one pedal that others do with two?

I mean, for example Nicko mcBrain is an awesome drummer, but he couldn't play....let's say "Dyers eve" with only one pedal.

lol, I always thought having 2 base drums was kind of a waste...

a lot of metal bands seem to do it that way though...

Frankly, its about how fast they kick that mother fucking thing, thats all I care about :)

Oh, I see, I'm the one who is retarded, yeah right... cause I'M the one who said "twin pedals are GAY and LYING", "Twin pedals = booooooooo!!!!!!!!!!", and "Man! I didn't wanna hear that! 2 bass drums is the way to be"... I'm not sure if any of these folks were joking... but I was just saying that if someone actually thinks that twin pedals or having one bass drum means anything, they're wrong, cause it doesn't. It isn't an opinion. It's a fact. Ok?

Well shit! I'm not making a big deal out of it..
Obviously it makes no difference because I couldn't and wouldn't be able to tell wether it's two or one double pedaled bass drum...
I just think it looks better

Is it necessary to have 2? No
Does a drummer beating the shit out of two big floor drums look cooler? I think a lot of people will agree with me: Yes

And I do agree completely that it's the skill and speed with which the drummer beats the bass pedals that matters

>I'm not sure if any of these folks were joking...

i was

i heard that two separate drums give a more "complete" sound to each kick, while with a twin pedal one kick "cuts" the sound of the last one
though i might be saying utter crap cause i'm not a drummer :-)

i said "twin pedals are not true", and while i was joking there, i do believe that two bass drums is a bit nicer :-)
looks more aggressive at least (and sorry if my argument doesn't fulfill your criteria heh)

Gryphon, i believe by "one bass drum instead of one" he meant double pedals
you obviously can't do with one leg the things you can with two legs

well
sometimes it's better to have 2 bass drums with different pedals, like when you don't have a Gibraltar to hold everything, or when you use 2 different adjustments for each of your feet. Besides, you can tune them differently, wich is really cool for some styles.

and for those who don't care about drum appearance... well, i don't care much... but this can get a drummer's dick up!!!!!
