I am not trying to convince anyone to hate asop. I hate and i want to express my dying hate for it. If you have a reason you like then you can tell me why in the same way i tell you i hate it. I like all in flames except their latest album it blows. :puke:.. For me its not old vs new it is good vs bad. take a song like metaphor i hate it but i like the r2r album as a whole. Asop as an album sucks but i like one or two songs off the album. In flames makes the best music (period). :worship: :headbang:

Well okay let me tell you why i like the album as a whole.
It's different from all other albums. New experiments, but still the same touch of melody and agression, new synth sounds which i love, for example in The Chosen Pessimist. Kind of new vocal style in some songs, a new growl, different lyrics etc. As you can see i like the album because it's different than the other ones. I like how they try out new things but still remains true to their formula of agression and melody. New type of lyrics which is easier to understand but still owns. And i think Anders cleans has improved drastically.
To sum this up: The album is good because it's way different of the previous ones, but, it still has elements from their old days and from their newer days. But remember this is just my opinion, yours is the total opposite of mine. If you liked all previous albums before ASOP i can truly not understand why you do not like ASOP. I mean, the guitar sound is better than ever and the drum sound has improved too. Just my thoughts.

Well, it might be better, but it's all up to peoples personal opinions which album they like the most. So there is really no better/bad, only of your opinion. But i think it probably will help =) He's has written some small stuff and ideas for next album now in his rehab so i guess we'll see.

I don't know, i dont hope so, let me quote him.

Answer: The dreads are, I think, saying goodbye to the world. One last world tour and that's it......

Old style Anders hair would own imo, and with Colony goatee =D
 
noooooooooooooo i love the dreads i think they are hardcore. maybe they will change their style up again lets hope so its about time.

Yeah he looked the coolest with that look.
 
i think he looked the best during the stye era. he looked good for the music he was playing. I don't think his hair will influence the music at all, but you never know.
 
Nah it won't effect his style but Anders doing ASOP vocals with his 90's look would look funny, and vise versa kind of, with him having dreads and a beard and doing Jester Race or Colony type growling.

Talking about fashion is kind of gay but Anders sure did look badass with long hair and a goatee.

I mean, just look at the first 3 albums...the compositions on them are fucking beautiful compared to all this new shit.

Aye, I wonder what kind of affect this will all have on In Flames' next studio effort, whether it will be more of a "return to form" as many fans would put it (more melodic, less modern, etc) or if they will tread further down the pathway of experimentation or, furthermore, something completely different than either of those scenearios, haha ... ? I'd be happy with any, I'm sure!
