New album has leaked... I'm downloading it now.

After the first listen, I'm not too sure if I like this one. It seems more poppy, and at time I feel like there is a "beat" in it; there is definitely less ambience than the self titled. I'm going to spin it a few more times though.

Have you heard Silver? It's essentially a pop album. But the best possible kind.

This is A LOT more industrial ambient/drone type of music than I was expecting. This is really nothing like Isis, Neurosis, and Pelican. Fans of those drone doom bands would love this. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not what I was expecting. In fact, I think it's pretty nifty.

I avoided this band for ages thinking they would be like the other bands you mentioned, but my friend forced me to listen to them for the first time yesterday and I actually enjoyed it. I was pleasantly suprised.

Yes, mud is a better term than crud. Since their sound was rather muddy.

I saw them a couple of years back in Birmingham (playing as support to Isis, surprisingly enough), and I thought they ruled then. Nice clear sound, especially the kick drum - it pounded away at the ribcage rather impressively.
