Jesu

New album has leaked... I'm downloading it now. :kickass:

After the first listen, I'm not too sure if I like this one. It seems more poppy, and at time I feel like there is a "beat" in it; there is definitely less ambience than the self titled. I'm going to spin it a few more times though.

Well, how long a set does Isis usually have? If we're talking 2 hours then I'll just show up a bit late and just catch Isis. I really do like em.

Have you heard Silver? It's essentially a pop album. But the best possible kind.

This is A LOT more industrial ambient/drone type of music than I was expecting. This is really nothing like Isis, Neurosis, and Pelican. Fans of those drone doom bands would love this. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not what I was expecting. In fact, I think it's pretty nifty.

I avoided this band for ages thinking they would be like the other bands you mentioned, but my friend forced me to listen to them for the first time yesterday and I actually enjoyed it. I was pleasantly suprised.

why would you think jesu sounds like the bands i mentioned when i said "This is really nothing like Isis, Neurosis, and Pelican."???

besides, those 3 bands rule

They fellate each other on stage in between songs

Perhaps they had an off night when I see them a couple weeks back, but they were quite boring and sounded like crud. Thus, they sucked

Oh well, I missed out on the first pressing. Did you get one of these?

I ordered one of the second pressings anyway.
