I have the possibility of getting one of these in a trade. Anyone have any experience with em? Would be trading my Mesa 2:100 for it + $$$. Thoughts?

It's a pretty cool pre, I have it and have used it quite a bit. The EQs don't have any kind of amazing character to rave about, but they're very handy. The compression is pretty transparent if you don't lean on it too heavily, and it's also very nice to have when tracking bass or vocals. The "Iron" button sounds cool on some sources too, but negligible or unchanged on others. There was one session I did when it really added a nice smooth midrange punch to the bass DI sound, so I tracked with it on. All in all it's a good clean sounding pre with nice functionality built in. What would you be using it for mostly?
Not entirely sure of uses, since I don't do any other recording than my own personal demos. Primarily, aggressive vox and DIs for bass and possibly guitars. I have a Fireface 400 which has decent DIs and pres on it, so debating the advantages to adding this unit. I might try a bit of micing my guitars with it if it has a nice character.

i have sixQ which is basically one channel version of twin Q.
i would recommend it. for the price it gives you a plenty of functions and sound is good.
as aaron said it does good job for bass and vocals. somethimes I also use if for snare as it gives some roundness and fatness to the sound.
