i change velocity of almost every hit

I know this thread is a few days old but i have to ask since were on the topic,
I understand your changing the velocities of the drums but are touching the dynamics?

I am having a difficult time getting my consistent snare rolls to sound right, I was wondering if you could steer me in the right direction like

(Ex; hard-med-soft-soft-hard-soft soft-med-med-hard)

I'd say that one of the best ways to learn to program more realistic drums if applicable (if you have a drumset and can play a basic beat) is to record something quick and simple and quantized it then go in to superior or whatever and program the same beat and try to get it as close as possible this should help you get a feel for how dynamics vary per hit especially on cymbals

I am pretty good with the my dynamics, It's just the quick rolls.
