Jon Oliva's Pain Discussion

Would be good if they play set exactly like that one. Not going to be though with a new CD coming out next year. Hope it is good.

I'd assume not, since Chris Kinder is JOP's drummer, not Steve.

Dude,of course Kinder is the drummer...he fuckin' rules...steady eddy. It was just a throw out question, hint, to see if Glenn could persuade Wacholz to sit behind the kit again. After the last appearance, I ran into Steve at the next year's PP and he loved the fest.

Gee.. thanks.. I think :)

So let me rephrase my question.. which one should I *start* with and which ones should I then continue with?

LOL...problem is, you dodged the followup question about who your favorite bands are! It really does make a difference with Savatage.

If you like TSO’s music, I would recommend starting with Dead Winter Dead and then moving on to Wake of Magellan.

If not, you can work backwards from those releases (Handful of Rain and earlier) or start from the very beginning with Sirens and work forward. To me, the earlier stuff has a more aggressive, less “polished” sound. It's ALL good, though!
