"In every revolution there´s a man with a vision
He agitates and incites to follow his vocation
He speaks the golden words turns us against the system
Into the stand we rise him and make a low bow

Time takes us all - makes me wonder that who´ll need his call
Time takes us all - makes me wonder that who´ll need his words

We all have to hail the man behind the pain

Soon he will take all the control becomes a mindless dictator
And we just can´t believe he was the One
Under the protection of his faithful indoctination
He dominates and rules and distorts the truth

Time takes us all - makes me wonder that who´ll need his call
Time takes us all - makes me wonder that who´ll need his words

We all have to hail the man behind the pain"

"Kill The Idealist lyrics

A pioneer of humanity
Declaring his truth to the crowd
Word of wisdom is what he speaks
Wisdom he has never reached

A well-educated know-it-all
But never has done anything
Collects info from sources
The vice man has left behind

Chorus:
Kill the idealist
Get him a job
Kill the agitator
Capital rules the world

So let him found a labour
On his own certain conditions
And try to heal society
Without support"

I read these lyrics and i think kalmah is a little comunist, further in the webpage kalmah say "diary of the revolution", but somebody know the politic ideology of kalmah?
because i like politic topics i post this thread

bye

sorry for the english, i'm sudamerican =D

Don't forget "My Nation" and "Heroes to Us"

Waves of change creep over promised land
We have gathered in our secret stand
Time has come for us to carry through the plan
The bond of oppression have to be unchained

[Chorus:]
Those in power - overthrown - revolution - found my nation

So my brother raise your scimitar
Join our legion in the name of god
Together as one we will fight till the end
Oppressive despots will be sent to hell

[Chorus:]

Everlasting confederation
Never-ending condemnation

Old prophet's land -a battlefield
Of non-believers in a violent rage
A declaration of human rights a pretext
For maintenance of a new world order
Above all written laws a growth concept
Created by the patriot of the civilized world
Rearmament -Welfare state
Disarmament - Non-member state
Free market economy a consequence
Of military needs -loss of lives
Human rights activists political pawn in a game
Nothing Can they do without state subsidies
A gift of today`s world
Heroes to us, heroes to us, heroes to us
Heroes to us, heroes to us, heroes to us
Production at any price
Admiration of those who earn
With blood on their hands
We will never learn
A gift of today`s world
Heroes to us, heroes to us, heroes to us
Heroes to us, heroes to us, heroes to us

mmmmm..., ok, i read these lyrics and i think, kalmah a kind of social democrats, because they hate the dictators and social conscience, but they put in the webpage, diary of the revolution, so, they can't be nazis, so for discarding i think that they are a little leftists...

bye

done forget mindrust..."if believed in kingdom come before all is gone. Is the chance to be reborn then who'll need the fire"

I think Mindrust is about a smoker who has lung cancer or something. I based this on my interpretation of the lyrics and an old post saying that its about a guy dying of cancer.

Anyways, after reading pretty much all Kalmah lyrics, I don't think they are supporting any ideology in their songs, they just talk about revolution and the things that it often leads to (Time Takes Us All).

look at the third the magical? i think some religious interpretation can go in to that

You guys failed. The third the magical is about Pekka drinkin's. He stoped drinkin's for 3 days. (As i heard)

Dont forget Withering away,

Life - testament of fathers / Forces to fight against the dark side / Mystery - still unsolved / Controller of the panel inner body / Hear the voices from the side of unknown / Leading body into temptation / False prophet message behind the mask / Breaking trough the will, darker one to rule / Withering away / Only way to be awake / Dispensation into the light / Against the law, internal fight / Two mids destroying their cradle / Suicidal action towards the end / Believer - the feeble natured / Completely influenced by abuser / Awareness - disturbed / A matter of social needs / Supression way to inner revolution / Denial is the force / Opnes the lock of inner control / The enemy will lose /

Believer - the feeble natured, completely influenced by abuser.

I love this !

huh. voting americans would do well to think on these lyrics!

lol i can't believe it was so long before someone mentioned Kill the Idealist

That song has some pretty heavy sarcasm if u ask me. I agree with asd_metal, they do seem more democratic.

On another note, someone needs to figure out the lyrics to For the Revolution

What about songs like My Nation, and Using the Word?
They reference "religious" themes,
"Join Our Legions In The Name Of GOD"
"Oppressive despots will be sent to HELL"
"Using religion as a shield"(could be a bash against certain people in a certain type of religion who hide behind their "faith")

I'm not really into religious preference, but the GOD and HELL parts may be a VERY slight reference to christianity in Pekka's favor.

Don't think i'm trying to call Kalmah a christian band:lol:, even though that wouldn't change my opinion of them either way, but it's interesting to think about Pekka's views on these matters.

Theres a lot of story telling that goes into kalmah songs. So topics like religion arn't necessarily Kalmahs exact believes, so its possible that he will be supporting hell or heaven given the situation in a song. Even though Pekka is the main lyrics writer im sure theres probably influences from the other band members. As for politics, i think kalmah has a very good point, i believe a lot of it is very true.

There is a net under the ice
With a thousand knots tied
And unchecked amount of slime
Hanging down
There is a burbot on the net
Into the mesh he has put his head
Now struggling for his life
Entangling more and more
And there is a fisherman on the ice
Drilling a hole with sweat and blood
Trying to draw the net above
The icy surface
But even though how hard he pulls
The net won't budge
Under the ice the net has stuck
With thousand knots into the ground
With frustration and despair in his mind he decides
To fight to the bitter end with all his strength
But with his latest wrench
The net will tear to shreds
Burbot's revenge
Burbot's revenge
With frustration and despair in his mind he decides
To fight to the bitter end with all his strength
But with his latest wrench
The net will tear to shreds
Burbot's revenge
Burbot's revenge
Burbot's revenge
Burbot's revenge

In Burbots revenge i find this one very interesting, wicked song with a wicked story, first of all does anyone know what a Burbot is, i couldnt find anything on the subject, according to the song i got the impression it might be a very large fish or seal. And the Burbot seems to get revenge by shredding the fishermans net, yes? lol if the burbot pulled the fisherman under the ice and ate him maybe, thats my idea of revenge. like to hear how you guys interpreted the song.

Burbot is a fish, but maybe he isn't talking about that. For me, this burbot thing is just a metaphor maybe about a person or society, being the burbot. It trying to escape of its demise or this fisherman but instead going more into it, showing how we fall as a group and try to come back, sometimes going back up or making the problem worse.
