karenkarenkarenkarenkarenkaren pt 2

you're really going to laura's for new years eve? after her predictions of the evening and her family behavior i think id rather cut my little finger off :erk:

from the east coasters meet up thread:
agreed... i'm almost down with organizing something at my house... wouldn't cost as much money, etc. just ... my family would be there ... and a select few of you know how that would go. my mom would be talking ceaselessly, my dad would stand there awkwardly, and my brother and sister would just glare angrily. but some frineds of my dads will probobly be at my house for new years eve, so that would ... maybe make things less awkward. maybe. my mom would probobly introduce you guys as "laura and will's friends from the internet!" >.<

and there really isn't all that much to do at my house other than play pool. soo... i'll ask and see if it'd be an option, just for good measure.
seriously guys, go to a bar or something

We'll go to the bar in Laura's back yard

Doesn't anyone remember the pics from the BBQ Laura's dad hosted at their house over the summer? It was awesomeness, and it looked like fun was had by ALL.

Plus, if we all pitch on on the booze then it will cost much less than drinks at a bar.

I would have brought a bottle from my private collection!

Where is Laura located?

Finksburg. This will be interesting for me because it's the first time I will have been to her house. The house where all my letters were sent for the years we were penpals. This was (slightly) before the Nevermore board, before Derick...I was 16 and she was 12. Then the Nevermore board pretty much replaced our need to send each other letters, and the rest is history.

Whattttt I didn't know this! That's awesome :)

How did you even meet/ become pen-pals?

Penpal section in the back of Metal Edge magazine :p I don't even know if they still put that back there, what with the internet and all.
