Do Skyfire use the most dramatic keyboards in the melodic death scene?? I've heard more keyboards used, but nothing this upfront. When I first heard it I was quite taken-aback and thought it sounded corny, but I persevered and I think it sounds great. It's majestic and dancing...and despite the lyrics, it sounds happieeee!!

Has anyone heard other bands putting-out keyboard melodies this good?

yep CoB is just about as keybaord based, they even have solos and shit. I personally love CoB but I think CoB and Skyfire use keyboards in different styles

I actually took an early disliking to CoB when I downloaded thier music and found-out they borrowed so many film scores to make impressionable intros to thier songs. That really annoyed me....some people don't realise the odd amazing guitar intro isn't CoB songwriting. I just think it's playing dirty a lil.

I have to say that Nightwish´s key-melodies are just great! =P
Just take a listen to Wishmaster or Stargazer. But we´re working on it !

I like Tristania's keybs as well, but they're quitew different from CoB, Nightwish or Skyfire...
