Honestly, though I really dig this song, it's /nowhere/ near the "best" (CAUTIOUS: subjective!) on the new album.

Wait for Accolade II, The Turning, and/or Awakenings. And then the title track! =)

I've been listening to King of Terrors all day now, and I have to say the first time I heard it I was somewhat dissappointed. Now I think it's a brilliant song! The solo's are great and Russel sounds great!

As a whole, I gave it an 8, but Russel's vocals would get a 10. I guess that means the rest of the bad got a 6. . . uhhh. . .OK, I'll shut up now.

The first time i listened the song, i was like: OMG this is what i call HEAVY!!! That crunchy guitar made me go crazy, and i like a lot the vocal lines... Russ' performance is GREAT! (needless to say...)
It gave me the same feelings i had when i listened for the 1st time to Sea Of Lies (which has some parts very like) and Of Sins and Shadows (for the power of guitar riffs and vocals) and for me it definetly is a 10!!!
(But then, when i'll have to vote for AccoladeII and title track, can we extend the scale to 20???)

I must confess that "King of terrors" has a f***ing great chorus and nice keyboard passages, but some riff parts (especially at the beginning) with the same kind of riff, repeated over and over again, sucks. This song uses elements of "Sea of lies" and "Of sins and shadows". The very beginning resembles to "Church of the machine"...6 points.

The poll is a good idea. It's interesting to read comments!
I had read Romeo's comments about the new CD and was expecting it to be heavier, so I wasn't totally surprised. I think this song is brilliant. A touch of "death metal" ?? Russ can handle it, so he decides to give it all he's got, and man, we're taking it. I can't wait to experience this new music live. I only hope that Russ's vocal chords can hold up to a hefty tour in the cold winter months. King of Terrors gets a 10. I want the CD so bad. I know it's going to be incredible. The spoken part reminds me a bit of the parts in Don Henly's "Garden of Allah" song. Anybody remember that one??? Or am I showing my age? :o
