Kiss

It will make it about the third time I have watched the ABC all year.

What a waste of my money. :bah:

What's this 7 cents a day/waste my money business? Sorry if I'm a bit slow but I'm confused and have no idea what you're talking about haha!

A Couple of questions that have just come to mind as I watch the kiss concert. Why is it that when Eric Singer and Tommy Thayl came into Kiss they do not get there own make up? they did it for Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent, Or should they have giving Eric and Vinnie peter and Aces makeup?

Why did they call it Black tie and black leather? I saw the black tie but at there was no leather, Plenty of Spandex, but no leather.

Steve "QuickmakesomeeditingcutsNONOQUICKER" Harris was doing the editing I see... The sound must surely be getting fixed up as well, or was that just my tv?

Pauls guitar = :notworthy

I thought it was just my TV doing that with the sound too... haha!

That guitar Paul had rules :) I love the Ibanez PS-10 guitars he used to use but hated those Washburns he switched to for the Psycho Circus tour... but that new guitar is awesome!

duellist: Because Gene Simmons is really blinded these days and is way off track on what he thinks Kiss fans want. He seems to think Kiss fans only want the original lineup and only wanna remember the '70s era. Now I know most Kiss fans (certainly not me) do prefer the "classic" era of the band with the original lineup, but if it isn't the original lineup I'm sure they would prefer to see musicians such as Eric Singer who is an established member of Kiss anyway just being able to be himself rather than dress up as Peter.

Gene thinks the original members' makeup is the "Kiss uniform" but that's NOT how the fans see it. He's just stupid. Ace's makeup is ACE'S Kiss uniform, not somebody elses and I very much doubt that any of the fans, no matter how much they prefer the original lineup, care about having all 4 original members' makeup on stage if it isn't even them.

I looked for you in some of the crowd shots Troops, but the face of an Egyptian Warrior was nowhere to be found. Although there are plenty of damn fine looking women who like KISS, so maybe I was a bit distracted :).

I enjoyed the show a *lot* more than I expected to. Been very jaded about KISS and their exploits in recent times, but every so often they pull off something like this that restores my faith and reminds me why I still like them after 20+ years.

They played a lot of stuff from Destroyer, which makes sense because it's their most "classical" sounding album. Peter even sounded decent for once (or maybe the orchestra did a good job of blocking him out) and Tommy was the man of the hour .

Highlight? Black Diamond. Wagner would have been damn proud of that performance. Good job I wasn't there or I'd have gone home with a hefty dry cleaning bill.

Hard to tell if there were many overdubs and stuff because the sound production alone sounds alot better on video than when you're there.... and Paul's voice did sound AWESOME at the show as well... but if anything was fixed up I'd say some of the drumming was!! Peter SUCKED at the show, but sounded fine on there. Also maybe some of Tommy's solos were cleaned up a little bit..
