Hey Trix, I'll send you my address shortly for you to send those gigs on (after you burn them to DVD first, of course).
Happy to help.
I can't burn them to DVD. I can send you video copies if you want but they might look crap. They are both already pretty average looking copies that look like they've gone through lots of generations so another one would make the colours blur ALOT I think.
Great shows though. The Crazy Nights one is strange, doesn't feel like a KISS concert at all really, feels like it could be any hair band really. Actually feels a bit Van Halenish, totally different vibe to KISS (and only 13 song setlist!), and Bruce looks awkward on stage and Gene doesn't really have much of a commanding presence like usual, Paul is great though as expected. Nut Bruce's guitar playing is amazing and Paul's stage banter is unreal! Very sleazy hahahaa, especially the intro to Lick It Up! No theatrics in the show either and no pyro until the very last song. As a whole its great still, very different and interesting and lots of fun, but its lacking a certain power that a KISS show usually has. Partly because its sooo scaled down but mostly just because the vibe is so different and their chemistry on stage as a band isn't really there, the magic is missing. It's the Paul Stanley show basically, which is still fine by me!
Philadelphia '87 setlist:
Love Gun; Cold Gin; Bang Bang You; Fits Like A Glove; No No No (with guitar & drum solos); Crazy Crazy Nights; War Machine; Reason To Live; Heaven's On Fire; I Love It Loud; Lick It Up; Rock & Roll All Night. Encore: White Christmas (no shit haha, the 4 sing this acapella); Detroit Rock City.
The Hot In The Shade tour is waaaaaaay different. One tour later and they've got right back on track. 22 song setlist (and a great setlist at that!), and its alot more of a real KISS vibe on this tour and the stageshow is HUGE with a sphynx that does some really cool stuff, lots of lasers, tons of pyro again, they start the show a really cool way with their silhouettes in front of a wall of lasers, and the band sounds killer! Watching that after the Crazy Nights show, as cool as I reckon the Crazy Nights show is coz its different, you can tell the diehard KISS fans who might've been disappointed in '87 would've been very pleasantly surprised when they saw them on this tour! The band is really "in the zone" and they've really found their magic and their chemistry is really strong. This is probably the best KISS tour I've seen footage of now, along with the Revenge tour but I haven't seen a whole real show of that, just the Konfidental/Alive III show.
Detroit '90 setlist:
I Stole Your Love; Deuce; Heaven's On Fire; Crazy Crazy Nights; Black Diamond; Shout It Out Loud; Strutter; Calling Dr. Love; I Was Made For Lovin' You; Rise To It; Fits Like A Glove; Hide Your Heart; Lick It Up; God Of Thunder (with killer drum solo and the sphynx singing the 3rd verse!); Forever; Cold Gin; Tears Are Falling; I Love It Loud; Love Gun; Detroit Rock City. Encore: I Want You; Rock & Roll All Nite.
