We have a last metal purchase so i think we need this thread.

Today I bought:
Miles Davis - In A Silent Way
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew

They're fantastic. You all have to get Bitches Brew.

ummm...oasis - morning glory (for my girlfriend)

but for me, jeez it was probably Porcupine Tree- In Absentia, but that was forever ago.

last night i downloaded the dumb and dumber soundtrack, does that count?

- Henry Cow - "Unrest"

Yeah, I have it and I second your recommendation. Improvised jazz mixed with fusion - really interesting stuff!

Today I bought When - Pearl Harvest. I also have both the Miles Davis albums listed in the first post (the 4 disc version of Bitches Brew)

Celtic Dawn
Agalloch (metal?? somebody??)
Pearl Jam - Riot Act
Days of the new - Yellow (for the second time!!)

I would say Agalloch is metal.

The last non metal album I bought was probably the Smashing Pumpkins Greatest Hits or something. :p

*prepares to be criticized*

Yesterday:

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
Tom Waits - Rain Dogs

I got that about 2 years ago and hardly ever listened to it. It's quite badly compiled. You should buy "Siamese Dream" or "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness". I only really got into the Pumpkins a few weeks ago when my friend lent me 3 of their albums.

Superchunk - Here's Where the Strings Come in

Great album.

Bought within the last two weeks.
Just got back into jazz and my LP's don't cut it.
These Remastered CD's rule!

Miles Davis- Kind of Blue
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong- Ella and Louis
Art Blakey - And the Jazz Messengers
Clifford Brown and Max Roach-At Basin Street
Thelonius Monk- Brilliant Corners and Monks Dream
Sonny Rollins-Colossus
Charles Mingus-Mingus Ah Um
John Coltrane-Giant Steps
Sarah Vaughn and Clifford Brown-Sarah Vaughn
Billie Holliday- Best of Verve and Lady In Satin
Kenny Burrel-Midnight Blue
Jimmy Smith- Sermon
Dexter Gordon-Go
Lee Morgan- Sidewinder
Cannonball Adderley-Something Else
Bill Evans- Waltz for Debbie
Ornette Coleman-Shape of Jazz to come
Eric Dolphy-Out To Lunch

With BMG I can get these delivered to my door for around 7 bucks each.
I might get some Bill Frisell or some Horace Silver. You know
anything about these dudes?
mc

Neurosis - Times Of Grace (good)
Porcupine Tree - Signify (nice, but rather boring)
Cult Of Luna - s/t (great)

and I got these two for €1 each:
Nostalgia - Arcana Publicata Vilescunt (ambient)
Gruntsplatter - Chronicling The Famine (ambient noise, not really listenable but interesting, haha)
