Latest CD you bought...

Same here with the new Blind Guardian. Listened through it a couple times, pretty solid stuff but definitely a grower. By the by, I got the digibook version for "Distant Memories" since it's considered a bonus track. Is that NB's idea of hilarious? People who buy the standard version get screwed out of a pretty good song. :err:

I found this odd as well. I haven't looked at the back of my digibook copy but I can't remember if it says it's a bonus track or not. I was looking at the album on Spotify at the gym, however, and noticed DM was a bonus track, and thought that was weird. Isn't this supposed to be a concept album? Why would they include a bonus track in the middle of a concept album... why not just let everyone hear it? How strange. The song is pretty darn good, too...
 
They pulled the same shit with Symphony X's Iconoclast. People who bought the standard edition won't get access to songs such as "Light up the Night" and "Reign in Madness" to name a few. Madness I say! :yell:
 
Just fucking download any missing bonus tracks.

EDIT: They want people to shell out more for the special edition. Some people are mad enough to buy all of the versions of an album. [/StatingTheObvious]

Yes indeed....there's a lot to let soak in with this record as always with BG. I've only spun it the once thus far but I'll be coming back for more later.

I always like it when an album makes me think "Huh? What did they do there?" and I rewind to take a closer listen
 
The bonus track is nothing special, BTW. If you prefer more aggressive BG, you can skip straight over it.

Just got Angra's new album in the mail a couple days ago... Secret Garden is a FANTASTIC album!! Much better than Aqua!
