My favourite CD Joey has done by far, way way different from the more heavier stuff he has done. I can't wait for a full length album, I think their due for now ;p and I hope they go back to Joey, even though I remember him saying a lot of the tracks were done over time and at other studios, so reamping etc occured. Still. A super kick ass production Joey
I love all the orchestra work on it

They aren't recording with Joey for the full length.

Joey told me over half a year ago that they are recording with Mike Green (Danger Radio)
but since then plans could have changed.

yeah, Mike Green is the shit. A few months back I used to be all about the "in the pocket" sound but then noticed that with a lot of bands you just can't do it.

And to be completely honest, I think in this day a bands production could go either way and it would really matter. I would say it's more about the producer himself, his techniques in producing/songwriting and more importantly his ears.

If the production has midi drums or live drums, pod guitars or real guitars, programmed bass with sim or a mic'd bass cab at the end of the day it's still going to be a ban with drums, guitars, bass, keys, effects and vocals. I'm starting to lean off of how each thing is tracked and mixed with and I am focusing more on the bigger picture and the final product as a whole and am willing to do whatever it takes to get there with the best or close to final result that I can realistically pull off.

let's get it recorded with mike green. and the album sounds great. unfortunately, you natural-raw-feel folks won't be impressed. the entire album is very poppy / digital / ala lady gaga type beats.

but if you're a let's get it fan, you'll love the record. i don't know if it will ever come out. its been done since october. their label sucks.

I listened to those guys for the first time, very different from what I expected, I was expecting like pure Attack Attack dance parts in band form for some reason. That dark bell-ish sound is something I'll be aiming for in my bands album... anyone know what VST's are used there? I doubt its the Absynth etc Joey uses a lot...
