Sydo soon discovered that Wrathy had decided to start another story because this one is rapidly ceasing to make sense 
Here's something I scribbled into one of my notebooks the other day, inspired by Faith No More's "The Real Thing" (the song) and Pink Floyd's "One Slip." No idea where it's going, so make of it what you will.
Jeff woke to find another pair of eyes staring into his own.
"My God," he said. "You're still here."
"Of course I am," replied his bedmate. "What did you think I was going to do, write you a goodbye note in lipstick on the mirror?"
"It's happened before."
He was lying. Nothing like this had ever happened before. Jeff had gone to great lengths to avoid it happening, and he saw no reason why today should be any different.
