As for the topic I spent a lot of my first two years of high school contemplating the whole "existence is futility" philosophy. It really got to me and made me all depressed, but after I switched schools I got caught up in other things...like, angsting about love.
Recently, though, I've stopped agonizing ove that as well. My philosophy is this:
"Shit happens."
Simple as that. Shit will happen, and probably to you. There's nothing you can do about it, except try to make sure the same shit doesn't happen again. Then you pick up the piece and move on. Try to focus on the good things that happen in life; or if not focus, at least just enjoy the good things when they do happen.
Don't think about the future or the past too much. One tends to get either self-doubting or regretful; it's human nature to raise one's own failings and mistakes to a high level. Regret is one of the biggest wastes of time ever, and believe me, I
know.
Just live life and don't think too hard about shit that you can't do anything about. Oh, and visit
this site when you're bored or depressed. The archives are days and days of entertainment, and they update weekly (or so).
