that sucks J about your mom, sorry to hear that. At least you got the kid to cheer you up. She looks like a handful.
Might as well bring it up on this board as you all knew about it already and the questions would come down the line ... but we lost the baby over a month ago.
We have an answer as to "why" so we'll try again in a few months. It's been tough on the wife at first, but she's pretty resilient and feels a bit better.
For me it hit me hard, as I was kind of preparing for this life change in the summer and looking forward to the change. But now I feel back to square one and trying to figure out what to do with my time for the rest of the year.
Business has been good, getting a lot of high-end Broadway projects and got to the point where new clients are calling me and I don't have to hound them ... so this is great.
The housing situation is dismal in NY price wise, but I am digging the place we live for now so it will have to do for at least another 1.5 years. Although I am open if a killer deal comes along to get something. We were thinking to purchase something in Europe too.
And J., my wife was an accountant in Poland and is now finishing college here for it as well. There are great opportunities especially with all the world economy in turmoil. I've been trying to get her to concentrate on "forensic accounting" ... reading about it made it super interesting.
