liquid mix PC drivers

ok guys so far not so good!

Installed to my pc without a hitch
up and running in sx within 5mins out the box
i'm all for stability so i thought id try some tests...

first thing i did was check the delay.... put up 2 drum tracks one clean, one with liqud mix plug.... perfect sinc...no phase-ing...

next thing i did was try throwing 32 instances of the plugg up to max it out.... worked fine @ only 5% DAW cpu usage, by now i was really chuffed.

so i thought id chuck up a full rack of power core & uad-1 pluggs

this is where it went bad.... cpu spikes a go go!

so tried it with just a few uad pluggs &...cpu spikes, cut down to only 20 focusrite pluggs same again.... NOT GOOD

now... what i've not said yet is i plugged it in the only FW hole i had free a "via" chipset, so i'm gonna get another Texas instrements one (mac standard so i'm assuming the drivers were written for it)

... i'll up date you then.

on the pluss side tho!

sound wise the pluggs sound great! I couldn't tell you if they are entirely acurate but they do sound good and there are so many to choose from (sounds weird but maybe too many?)... and if & when i get them stable then the liquid mix will be a great addition to my studio.

sweet
sounds well worth the cash.
i'll be down cash converters selling everything else i own
lol

ok... finally got it running Uber stable - very hapy (and itching) to use it in sessions etc

managed to max it out (32 channels of eq nd comp), max out my uad and max the powercore...then loaded up 8 instanses of auto tune and 4 drumagogs on advanced mode..... chucked up another 40 stereo tracks.

waves lin multiband,L3, truverb, and ren eq on the master channel

so lots of pluggs, and only 35% cpu usage.... WOOT WOOT.

GET ONE OF THESE!!!!

the only 2 gripes i have now is that you can't load up a liquid plugg in cubum while audio is playing.... it has a fit - audio goes ring modulated!!!! this aint no thing really cos 'tools makes you do that anyways and if having 32 channels of lovely eq and comp is at the price of pressing stop before loading up a plugg then i'm not fussed!!!! .... the other is that it has to run with a buffer @ no higher than 1024

FYI: the reason my liquid mix was going "crazy nutz" in the first place is because the firewire controller was sharing an IRQ with the Power Core - fixed that and BAM!... SORTED

Any one need any info on these babies PM me.

BTW: im currently running AMD x2 2.2 & 3gig ram

Yo.
