LOAD N RELOAD

true^. I actually like Until It Sleeps (the horror!), Ain't My Bitch, 2x4, Ronnie, and Wasting My Hate. On Reload I like The Memory Remains, Better Than You, Devils Dance, and one of the other ones.

I actually really liked S&M. I thought the orchestra sounded awesome.

And, something else I've avoided mentioning but now feel the need to: I love Hetfield's voice. I've always loved it. It's a fucking rock n' roll voice, and one of the most recognizable in music (not that that is what makes it good). Anyway, I think he's got a badass set of pipes.

He does have a good voice. I prefer Dave Mustaine's though.

i mean if we compare load n reload with St. anger i will chose load and reload for sure st. anger its a metal album but it really SUCKS so im not talking of metal i am talking of good music and i think load n reload is good music so you people better open your minds to the music cause metallica change on the 90s and thats a fact but they changed in a good way for me, they needed to survive in the music industrie this is a fucking business right here my friend, listen to "Aint My Bitch" "The Memory Remains" "Devils Dance" or "2x4" and many others those are really good songs, is not master of puppets of course but still rock n roll dude

You made a really valid point, but please use punctuation next time! I kept getting lost reading that.

Load is a great album for people who have taste in MUSIC, not just metal. Your first mistake was asking a bunch of drooling metalheads who haven't bathed in three weeks and have weed growing in their crusty dreadlocks what they thought of Metallica's Load and Reload. I'm surprised they didn't just say something retarded like, "SLAAAAAAYYYYEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!"

Comparing Load to Ride the Lightning is like comparing a Toyota Camry to a Ferrari. Both may be interesting entities in and of themselves, but you don't say them in the same sentence. To be fair, Reload was pretty crappy, apart from Fixxxer, which is one of their best songs they've done in a long, long time. Load is a slow, lumbering, moody album that you don't listen to if you want to bang your head and play air guitar like you did when you were 14. That's what the old albums are for. You have to be in a somewhat easygoing mood to enjoy that album.

Look at it like this: if you think Slayer had any good albums since Divine Intervention, then don't even bother.

yes what a stupid point... that dosent make any sence, i love SLAYEEEEEEEER but i am not fucking talking about them i am talking of metallicas proud men haha and metallica music also, wherever i like load N reload and i dont feel any shame about that.. sorry:kickass:

These two albums can be decent hard rock stuff, or whatever. But it's hard to believe it's the same band who made stuff like their four (or even five) first records. It's not even funny.

I just keep listening to Kill'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and And Justice for All... that's fucking Metallica (one of the greatest metal bands ever).

It's quite simple, actually.

Just go to their gig and check how many of the "new" songs they play. Most of their setlist is "old" stuff. And they kick ass playing those songs live. :kickass:

Granted I am pretty new to Load but I did get it. And I don't see why people think this is a brand new band. Sounds the same to me. It's not thrash metal but... was Kill 'Em All identicle to And Justice For All? Most good bands change their style a couple times if not more. A lot of good bands have a different style for each album. The vocals are a dead give-away. I guess it could be a Hetfield solo album or something... but it definetly still sounds like Metallica to me

Also, I'm a metalhead who hasn't bathed in a long time and I wish I had weed growing in my dread-esque dirty hair... but I love Load. Granted, I love Alice In Chains and stuff, so even though I thought it wouldn't work, I probably should have known I would love Load.

A few excellent tracks, some good and to much filler or uninspired songs in general. I think both albums are alright for what they are. Way underrated if one sees how bad some fans recieved them when they were released.
