LOAD N RELOAD

my opinion about those albums is that they should be discussed in the non-metal forum

 post of the entire fucking thread.

This thread is just asking for trouble! Someone else mentioned, a different band did Kill 'em All and Ride The Lightning, I'd be inclined to agree.

Load and Reload are not albums, they're ways to a means of filling bank accounts and Kirk possibly being able to fix up his fucking thinning hair. They shouldn't be mentioned in the same vein as music. Rather, nothing since AJFA should be. The sooner these fucking cunts retire the better.

What a really stupid thing to say.

Fail.

How is it stupid? Asking about Load to people who think that all music has to have blast beats is setting yourself up for failure. You already know the answer you're going to get. The point is, the majority of closed-minded metalheads aren't going to like it, and there are many of those types of people here.

The failure goes to you for not even comprehending the humor in my first post. Go listen to CoB or something eye-stabbingly boring like that.

Granted I am pretty new to Load but I did get it. And I don't see why people think this is a brand new band. Sounds the same to me. It's not thrash metal but... was Kill 'Em All identicle to And Justice For All? Most good bands change their style a couple times if not more. A lot of good bands have a different style for each album. The vocals are a dead give-away. I guess it could be a Hetfield solo album or something... but it definetly still sounds like Metallica to me

Also, I'm a metalhead who hasn't bathed in a long time and I wish I had weed growing in my dread-esque dirty hair... but I love Load. Granted, I love Alice In Chains and stuff, so even though I thought it wouldn't work, I probably should have known I would love Load.

The fact that you love Alice in Chains completely exonerates you from being just another dirty metalhead.

yes what a stupid point... that dosent make any sence, i love SLAYEEEEEEEER but i am not fucking talking about them i am talking of metallicas proud men haha and metallica music also, wherever i like load N reload and i dont feel any shame about that.. sorry:kickass:

Dude, what the fuck did you just type?

I'll tell you what doesn't make any SENSE, is that you completely missed the analogy, and in the end you ended up agreeing with me. I'll break it down for you:

Slayer is one of the greatest bands of all time, but their shit has gone downhill since 1994. Many of the people who dislike the Loads happen to think Slayer can do no wrong, no matter what kind of shitty album they put out. This was the analogy I was trying to make that went completely over your heads. I'll admit, the Loads are probably some of the lower quality albums by Metallica, but not the worst. St. Anger was fucking horrible, as was S&M.

Hit a little too close to home?

Dude, this has been going on for ages, since the black album. The thing that sucks about it is that both sides have valid points.

I think everyone can agree, however, that everyone would rather hear Ride the Lightning and Justice instead of the Loads.

I seriously don't give a fuck what people think about L and R. And I don't get why it got so popular to put these releases in shit. I find them pretty good.

Thank you. I see I'm not alone. Of course they're not thrash metal masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, but taking them for what they were, they were good, solid, heavy rock albums. Of course it's quite a shock coming from the juggernaut that was Metallica at the time, but they were good albums, nonetheless.

I think many people wank all over weedle weedle weedle guitar work and double bass a bit too much. Many people equivocate exceptional musicianship with good songs, and that's just not the case with Metallica and it never was. Megadeth has always been head and shoulders above Metallica in the realm of musicianship because Dave and Marty were a pair that were just unstoppable. But aside from Rust in Peace and a couple of other albums, Metallica was a band about writing good songs and Megadeth was a band that focused on musicianship. Everyone knows Lars is a shit drummer and Kirk Hammett is an overrated guitarist, yet they wrote some of the greatest heavy metal songs of all time.

The distinction has to be made between a band all about musicianship and a band all about the songs, and credit should be given where it's respectively due.

Load is a great album for people who have taste in MUSIC, not just metal. Your first mistake was asking a bunch of drooling metalheads who haven't bathed in three weeks and have weed growing in their crusty dreadlocks what they thought of Metallica's Load and Reload. I'm surprised they didn't just say something retarded like, "SLAAAAAAYYYYEEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!"

How is it stupid? Asking about Load to people who think that all music has to have blast beats is setting yourself up for failure. You already know the answer you're going to get. Interesting judgement, but not all of us (in fact, none) are filthy, borderline-retarded Cattle Decapitation fans.
