i had different kicksounds, but i found that this was pretty cool with the snare.

man, almost everytime people hate my kicksounds, hehe.
is it too "flabby" (is that a word?) or too much "tshakka tshakka"
too much high end?

btw. its kick 10 from slate...

My only complaint is that the ethereal clean vox at the beginning should last wayyyy longer and be reverbed and delayed out to fuck, but that really is my only criticism. This is an awesome, awesome mix.

Awesome mix! The guitars could be brought up a tiny bit (like everyone else says ) but that is really nitpicking, it sounds great as it is already. I'm loving the stutter effects, just adds a little extra to the song.

I'm agreeing with Gareth, the clean vocals are sounding a little dry now. They would sound very cool with a lot of verb/delay, a little overlapping would sound cool

maybe post some raw files (i have to ask the band tho)

hehe, yeah i got an sms the night i send the mix (before raising the guitars which i'll do in a second!)
and the drummer went : WAHNSINNN !!!! (which means : this is freakin nuts, i'm blown away)
i havent talked to the guitarplayers yet (who is also the clean vox singer), i think i will get their feedback today!
gonna talk to them about the tone as well, i'll keep you updated!

i'm gonna translate some of the myspace messages for you as well greg, hehe ;-)

btw. : in other german recording forums, some guys were really interested in your work!
