You looked at my profile did you? Actually the style of my band is gothic death, but i'm not ashamed i am listening to gothic metal cuz i like it and i like a lot of black, death and doom too and MDB is one of them.

On the subject of Agalloch, i'd say "Pale Folklore" comes close to what you're asking for... though "The Mantle" definately doesn't. Their earlier material is certainly alot more black metal-ish, though I wouldn't go as far as to say they were black metal.
