Lost in Music

Oh yeah, that's my second favorite moment on The August Engine closely following the one I mentioned. If I ever saw that live I'd have to jump on stage and instigate an orgy with the band.
Two of them are chicks now too, so it's not like you'd have to go all out gay.

Transcendence in music is the main reason I listen to, write and play music. Nasheim received an e-mail today from someone who recently bought the demo:

"Tonight I had a magnificent experience with your music: I drove home with a
friend of mine and I had the great idea to listen to your music while our 30
minutes "trip" 'cause the CD was in my car. I choose a way home that was
full of beautiful forest - the night was clear and the moon was very
bright.Even when the first sounds crawl out of the boxes nobody dare to
speak a word - we only gave ourselves to the music. when "Allt svartnar"
ended, the only thing my friend means was, that he nearly had tears of joy
in his eyes!!! .....and I feel exactly the same way!!!! I can only repeat
myself 1000 times: thanks for this demo!!!!!!"

See, THIS is the sort of feedback that makes it feel like you're doing something worthwhile.

Chicks or not, I'd still do it. :tickled: Two? Who's the other chick?

@ Erik: that kicks ass.

Oh cool, I didn't know they got someone to do organs. I'm wondering if the new bassist/vocalist is as good as Janis, her work on The August Engine is incredible.

We've run out of tapes. I was thinking I could maybe send PJ a CD-R for now though, or BWD could do it, but I've promised PJ a tape earlier so... Or both could review it! I dunno...
Somebody needs to do it because I'd like to get the next feature up and running ASAP.

BWD - since you have a 'real' version, can you do the review? I'll include the previous PJ review anyway (for the first release).

yeah, i can review it. do you still have access to the whole thing from the link you sent me, erik? my shitty computer can't figure out the ogg, so i have to listen to the "non-fluctuating" version on there. whether or not i can get it onto CD-R or not is moot -- i'd still love to review it (and it may even be in my year-end top 10).

OK so BWD will review the Nasheim (along with clearing your backlog).

NAD - you will review the Scald (I need to send it to you, and you need to clear your backlog too matey).

Then we can get the next feature started. If we delayed any further, we could probably squeeze the new Woods of Ypres into the article (once we get the promo that is), but I'd rather get this out the door, and....

...as much as I like the artwork to Practice what you Preach, I'd be quite happy if I never saw the album cover ever again at this point. Goat help us.

Aye. I think I only have about 7 promos right now? Yes "only," that's not very many for me. :p Look for some this week.

That reminds me, I think I emailed Sorath after I bought my tape asking about Mp3's or some other digital audio format available for the demo songs. Could either of you (Eric or Sorath) get back to me on this if you get a chnace.
