So friday i was at the Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio show. I'm not really a fan of them but i really enjoyed the show, the vocalist has a beautiful voice. If anybody's interested
here are a few pictures i took and one of the 4 videos i filmed:
On to Aurora Infernalis Fest on saturday. The venue was quite small and in the beginning it wasn't busy at all, maybe that's why the sound was much better than later that night. The half of the audience was german which was a bit surprising. There were also very bad lighting during the whole evening thanks to which both the photos and the videos turned out quite bad.
See the photos here
The first band Geist sounded quite decent, i even liked them (didn't know this band before). The second band Verdunkeln i didn't know either but i found them quite boring. Cannot say much about them, except that it was so dark and misty during their set that the pictures i made do justice their name
Then there was Sear Bliss, the reason i went to the fest. They were quite ok, but worse than i expected them to be
Couldn't hear the trumpet in the beginning at all, which got much better during the set. Sadly both guitars were lost to me, so it didn't sound nearly as atmospheric as it does on the cds... Here's one of the 2 vids i shot:
Then there was Urfaust with their seemingly endless set. I found them so extremely boring that i almost fell asleep in the corner. However, that of course depends on the personal taste as a friend of mine found Urfaust to be the highlight of the evening
Then there was Troll. I didn't know them but i was told by my friends they're kvlt so we had to be there up front. And ended up in the middle of the mosh pit consisting mostly of the very drunk germans
That's why i didn't make any photos of Troll and the vids were shot by my bf. According to him, the sound was terrible. I cannot tell, as i didn't hear the cd versions, but i did like some of the stuff they played. Unfortunately we had to leave early to catch the last train. Here's one of the new tracks of the upcoming album they played:
