Love of Live (part två)

guilty, i guess i got too spoiled here but i decided not to go to Black Trolls over Europe (with Negură Bunget, Adorned Brood, Nomans Land, Black Messiah, Heathen Foray, Dyrathor) tonight as well... I would go mainly for Negura, but i already saw them this year, and last year, and will see next year again at least twice... So i figured i'd pass this time

Ha ha, I see what you did there. Sometimes my fingers get ahead of me, and I rarely spell-check anything. Maybe I should, but I get lazy I must admit...

Haha you should check what you type, but to be honest, I do enjoy correcting everyone's typing mistakes :) . I like to compare the differences made by people of different countries. Hey, perhaps I could write an article on this!

Back on topic, apparently a bunch of bands are coming to Costa Rica; the scene seems to, finally, be picking up. Moonspell + Finntroll + Ensiferum in January, very, very excited about this!!!! I haven't seen M nor E, and F should be an excellent gig.

^ nice line up, Finntroll seems to be on a non-stop tour this year.

Not much to report here, last show I attended was over a month ago (Atari Teenage Riot, third time this year I saw them), and next up is Shrinebuilder on November 9.

^ Yeah, it's a great line-up. What I don't like about those gigs is that, I guess, Ensiferum won't play more than 45 min, Finntroll about 1h, and Ensiferum 1h30min. I'd prefer a full show of each one separately, but you can't have everything in life.

Arch Enemy is coming too, pop band but really brilliant gigs.

And… TARJA!!!! My favourite solo band, in history! To be honest, she's way better than any Gothic Metal band that has ever existed (who needs "Love Like Blood"? Not me!); and fuck Nightwish, it's their loss!

Blind Guardian too, one of my favourite Power bands ever, counting the days even if there's no date yet! :p

I saw Svartsot yesterday, supported by a new Danish folk-metal act called Huldre. Both bands played great, and both played real ancores (songs not on the setlist), although in Huldre's case that meant they had to play a song they had already played, as their repertoire isn't very long yet, ha ha!

Anyway, what really made the night stick out for me was that, among others, they played Otyg between the bands! Imagine my surprise, and pure bliss!

While Svartsot being utter crap IMO, I've actually heard the demo from Huldre which is quite good.
But what Otyg-song did they play then?

i saw svartsot 2 years ago (i suppose, i don't remember exactly) before all the line up changes and they were not bad!
but i don't know what happened after this.

saturday i went to see folkstone + furor gallico.
i was surprised from how many people was there, i didn't suspect there were so many people in my region that listen to folk metal, because they always hide and no one plays folk or viking metal's cds in pubs or clubs! there was a lot of people dressed with medieval clothes, including a strange group of monks ehehe
the concert was really amusing, i knew the harpist through myspace so i went backstage to do some photos during the show. she is such a nice person!!!!
and i've been stopped by the bassist who was impressed by my hair

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
MOONSORROW ARE COMING TO ITALY NEXT MARCH WITH PAGAN FEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hotjump:

AHHHHHHHH THAT'S GREAAAAAAT!!!! Congrats!!! I wish I could see Moonsorrow sometime, they're my favourite Folk/Viking band. It's amazing how they manage to release excellent albums after excellent albums, they always top themselves. My favourite will always be Kivenkantaja (Matkan lopusa!), but every album is exceptional.

this is a very good news! consedering the fact i've never seen them.
but i'm sure they will play a ridicolous time, like 30 minutes or something, but still better than nothing! ;)
and the line-up of the paganfest of the next year is the worse i've ever seen for now (excluding moonsorrow). there will be korpiklaani which i've seen too many times, unleashed, varg :bah: kivimetsan something :bah: and another group that i've never heard. so pretty poor for now. i hope for some good confirmation before march! :p

some dates in the north (germany, belgium, netherland) will have eluvetie and heidevolk as special guests

Some photos from Madrid Dark Fest 2010. I know that are not very good quality photos. They are took by mobile phone camera.

cool! is it going to be your first time seeing them live?
I can't wait myself, they are as awesome live as on the album, though it's a bit odd at first to see that guy singing with so high a voice :)

yes it will be the first time (if i'm able to persuade someone to come with me!)
a dear friend of mine saw them and he told me that neige is a superposer ahaha someone asked him for some photos and he gently replied yes but he asked to do not publish them anywhere (forums, myspace, facebook) because he wasn't well prepared for photos (he meant to say that he didn't know how he was looking after the concert, hair, dress, and such) LOOOOL
i'm not scared about the voice, remember i'm a big King Diamond fan

haha really :D he's french you know lollll ;) seriously, i didn't see him after the concert but on stage he looked sooo shy, it was just too cute! :tickled:

i wasn't talking about Neige's voice, there was another guy (don't know his name) singing with so high a voice that it was odd to see, and some people in the audience were making fun of him because of his voice. He also had so much hair that you couldn't see his face, i guess he was a bit ashamed, poor guy! I guess Neige ws afraid to sing those high bits himself on stage, so he let that other guy do it and take all the comments :tickled:
