Hey - are there any lyrics translations floating around the old threads on this forum? I'm looking for the translations of a couple of songs, and I've come up empty.

Lately, I've been listening a lot to both 'Under Norrskenets Fallande Ljusspel' and 'Naturens Galleri', and I'd love to read what the lyrics are actually about! This clueless American is lost...

Thanks! :kickass:

Under Norrskenets Fallande Ljusspel is one of my favourite songs ever, here's a translation of the lyrics:

Under the Falling Light-play of the Northern Lights

Like a many-headed, green-shimmering serpent
the features of colour splendour coil
Over the glinting plays of scintillating constellations
From sparkling eyes in hidden body
The dim delights
Now bring their arc down by the calm water of the sky

Its double-edged tounge devours the power of creation
From a nebula
The abundant charming power in the garb of the night
A bundle of rays witch seems to shed its skin
In aged prose
The aurora borealis is an omen

Shadows dart under the glow
Dazzled by the flight of the glare
Beholder of lives' fates
Now blazes over home and hearth
Flames strikes down towards the ground
A serpentlike shape in the sky is on the move
Now the frost on the pine bark shines
The glare has put its sting against the trunks

It flashes and blazes from nine heads
A pulsing rythm from the fire of the light-play

Shadows dart under the glow
Dazzled by the flight of the glare
Beholder of lives' fates
Now blazes over home and hearth
Flames strikes down towards the ground
A serpentlike shape in the sky is on the move
Now the frost on the pine bark shines
The glare has put its sting against the trunks

The magic chimera is painted over the northern realm
The glittering fog smoke is its artist

And here's a translation for Naturens Galleri:

Nature's Gallery

A cave opening gapes dark and gloomy
In the stone structure of the mountain side
By the lustre of the gleaming slates,
My gaze is fastened to its architecture.
There primordial powers lurks,
The willpower in a well-rill
Which plunges towards deep shafts
And washes aged fossils

Wherever my gaze ponders
It's beatuy blows the mind into swells.
Like a cold subterranean moon,
Dazzles a mountain crystal.
The greedy mouths of wide rifts
Are portals to the Earth's marrow.
Surrounded by ore-rich colour,
An atelier in the dim mountain

Along narrow passages, towards the heart of the depths
Under the fair gothic of the ceilings
Which are adorned by gaudy metals
in images, in perfect aesthetics.
Shapes sculptured from drip-stones.
Hid away in safe-keeping.
Formed in the columns of the rocks
Over the mirror-clear rill

Nature's gallery
Is like a fantasy,
and the paradise and dwelling of mysticism
Nature's gallery,
the magic utopia of refreshment

wow - thank you!

The lyrics are no longer moon language to me! I can actually understand what they're about!

This just makes me like Under Norrskenets Fallande Ljusspel even more.

They should bring back the Vintersorganic.com. However, with all ENG translations to SWE texts.
Almost like Hendriks webpage. That was very usefull for anything.
