Ok so i got my Profire today and im testing it out.

I will say i am able to get lower latency with the profire for sure.

Dont know about the sound quality difference though.

OH, but i dont get the Spanish radio channel through the Profire...lol :kickass:

Here goes.

Both clips are recorded the same exact way, with the same settings and placement.

Edwards LPC EMGs-TS9-ISP DECI--5150-Avatar 4x12 v-30s--SM57--Profir610/Mobilepre USB--Cubase 4--Hi lo pass at 60 and 12500 Andy C4 settings.

Drums are SSD3.0.

Bass is DI, i raised the drums and bass, as some suggested. But its the same on both clips.

without listening ( i will in a minute) i would say the pre's sound similar, slight edge to the 610. The conversion on the 610 is way better than the mobilepre. I currently use the mobile pre, and i owned a 610 for a minute.

... ok I listened. I've got to say, both the clips sound very similar. Although, I'm listening on shitty DA on the mobile pre. I'd probably say clip A is the mobile pre. It's tough to tell though.

Did you record both clips at 16bit/44?
