Well i had a pretty unremarkable time tonight. I met up with a guy around 11pm and we went to 3 different bars. I talked to a girl briefly at one, and it wasn't awkward, but she really didn't seem interested in me, unlike the girl at the party last night -- this one politely responded to everything i said, but didn't add anything herself.

This was my first weekend in a long time where i really gave the nightlife a serious effort, so there's still a lot about it that i need to get used to. Definitely want to start earlier next weekend, cause i got a late start both yesterday and today and all the bars within walking distance were crowded and hard to start conversations in.
 
you can go to 100 bars and have 1000 conversations and still come up with squat. not to mention conversing is fucking tiring; you do all the introductory shit, then try in vain to find common interests, only to realize she'd rather be somewhere else than talking to your boring ass, so then you have to start it all over again with the next bitch. fuck that, i'd rather play video games.
 
I mean, if you look like aug, it's hard. Especially since he doesn't seem attracted to other asians. Asian men aren't a hot commodity among other races the way asian women are.

Me? just hang out really. It wasn't really a date and I didn't actually leave and wait for her, she just didn't call and texted saying she'd gone home early because she was tired. It's not as bad as it sounds, I've never indicated any interest in this girl in that kind of way so she might not have even considered that I was thinking along those lines. She wasn't at a bar or club either so I don't think someone else got with her.

I'm not one of those "appearances don't matter" people, but to call someone "mediocre" is a bit harsh, isn't it?

Episteme's right, dude. You sound bitter. It's like something happened to make the idea of enjoying a woman's personality seem impossible to you.
 
I'd have to say most people tend to grow into themselves at a certain age, especially when they take the effort to look presentable by dressing nice and what not.

Aug, it really seems like you're actually incapable of even wanting to get to know someone for their personality because you're afraid of approaching a real woman. Don't you have any female colleagues? Do you speak or get along with them on a personal level? From the tone of your posts, it sounds like you've gotten rejected or played out by many girls and now you're extremely bitter about it. I find most girls tend to be more attractive or look a lot more attractive the more I get to know them.

I don't envy you Aug for having sex with some of the hottest whores I've seen. Good for you, and to each their own but you know you've hit the bottom of the barrel if you actually think that a prostitute cares and gets jealous whether you fuck her instead of another whore, as you so explained a few weeks/months ago.

you're not exactly a Casanova yourself so those are some pretty high standards. I just want a bitch who can't crush me during sex and can actually turn my flaccid dick into a raging boner while im sober, and no whores. i do have a number of women friends/colleagues with whom i get along fine, after all i am very chilled and lighthearted to talk with in a normal setting, though a bit on the quiet side.

if an escort passes all primary criteria and i'm already screwing her, i -can- appreciate her personality and most are very nice and modest despite their hotness, which i almost never see in normal girls. also, i'm pretty sure they get jealous when they find out i've been with another girl; i can see the hurt in their facial expression and sense their relief when i hug and tell them they're still my favorite, lol. yea great acting etc nah i doubt it
