Masterplan - Aeronautics

HOLY SHIT! This thing kicks serious ass (both their debut and Jorn's new solo, sorry to say). I am definately going to buy this album next month. The promo does them service - in "promoting" Aeronautics . Once again AFM Records has opted to fade each track end to end, but that's tolerable.

The production is stellar & the album doesn't slow down one bit. The song writing this time is more cohesive, but that doesn't mean everything sounds the same, far from it. There are lots of catchy chorus', incredibly powerful guitars, and even a few "epic" moments.

This is a power metal album at its finest.

I can't wait to get my hands on the complete thing.

Very cool, I cannot wait to check this out. I am still in need of their first album but I have heard many amazing things off of it. This band kicks ass. GET THEM FOR PP. Hopefully if they do PP they will play one of my favorite songs off Helloween's The Dark Ride, "The Departed (Sun Is Going Down)".

Seriously...Masterplan was my pick for top album of 2003...I'm hoping they will also rule in 2005.

I loved their debut and everyone is saying that the CD is even better than the first. Can't wait!

Yeah, I am pretty stoked. This one, The new Adagio, New SX, New Kamelot are my highlights for next year. To be honest this year was kind of weak in releases with a few exceptions, but next year will be awesome.
