Krigloch what do you think of the new Nile album? It's getting some low reviews from "critics". I think it's good...not their best, or close to it, but good.

I prefer the last 3 over it.

There's a bunch of downpicking chugs in the new one. Heavy as fuck!

New Nile is their best since Ithyphallic IMO. I probably overrate that album because Eat of the dead and Even the Gods Must Die are two of my favorite songs by the band though.

AotW and ITDS are their two best albums. New one is much better than At the Gate of Sethu and is the techiest album they've done in a while. Ithyphallic is their worst imo. AtGoS has a few strong parts but is nothing special overall. Rest of their shit is solid.

Seriously this debut Act of Defiance album is fucking amazing. Been listening to it since it released and it's soooo good. So many catchy as fuck melodies.

This is quite a surprise! I had no expectations for it but it's a total riff fest! The solos are great and yea the guitar melodies are fucking awseome. Some sinister guitar work going on. Terrific stuff.

Well...you can always listen to Pathfinder. I agree the vocals are the weak point, but musically this is right up one of my alleys.
