Metal : A Headbangers Journey

My favourite part was when the guy from Goregoth was asked what inspires him, he just stares into space for like 20 seconds and says "...satan" and then drinks from his goblet, so metal.

that was my favorite part too hahahahaha, fuck i laughed, gaahls so intimidating..........or was :P, he seems pretty mellow now, i read a few interviews with him lately

lol, Gaahl is such a fucking dumbass. How someone can be so close minded and idiotic is beyond me.

There are plenty of artists who doesn't like to explain their work in detail. "I don't like to explain things to people because it's written in a way that should open the minds of listeners." He obviously didn't feel like explaining himself to someone who probably doesn't even listen to black metal.

i think I'm going to watch the black metal documentary on Gorgoroth tonight.. Headbangers Journey is rather amusing in parts. I think-because the interviewer doesn't know what he is talking about, and asks some weird questions.

watch the one on gaahl too, i think its true norwegian black metal or sometihng, its about gaahl and his home and shit, its pretty great

good point, gaahls a strange man, but he's certainly made a name for himself. i also read somewhere that infernus never wrote down the lyrics, and when gaahl joined he kept that tradition because it was against his religion (nordic shaminism). like once words were written down they lose all meaning

It's wrong because they're melodic death metal bands. Swedish death metal is bands like Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Unleashed and so on.

Swedish Death Metal is not a genre you dumbass.

Search the net for a while I am too bored to write down what it is..

^Well on that chart melodic death metal bands and death metal bands were gathered under Swedish death metal label. Partly correct since all of the other labels are referring to genres where Swedish death metal is not.

Wikipedia says:
Scandinavian death metal concerns the death metal bands of Scandinavian origin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavian_death_metal

And by induction you can very well say that Swedish death metal concerns the death metal bands of Swedish origin.

This is the truth as far as I am concerned. Not just by reading wikipedia but being in metal community for many years you get to learn these stuff.

They are the most popular bands of the Swedish Death Metal scene along with Opeth and At the Gates..
Whats wrong with this?

They are melodeath, and Soilwork are just gayness. In my book that doesn't count as death, he could just as well put up proper ones like Dismember.
edit: mattson already said it.
