that was really thoughtful of you to do; only info I could add is that my experiences with Dallas' Deep Ellum Live and Fort Lauderdale's Culture Room are that they are both 21 and up venues normally, but periodically make underage exceptions if the guarantees are high (as I would suspect this package's would be . . .)

It took a while for me to find anything on Deep Ellum Live or Culture Room, since they have no websites. One place I kept getting sent to was a website called jambase.com which has a list of a million clubs, shows, venue info, etc. They would list a website if there was one, but in the case of the Culture Room, it just listed a phone #. I was also told that it is a VERY VERY small place that ususally holds death metal gigs only. The places where they have two gigs in a row (BB Kings, as I'm told, Jaxx, Culture Room) all seem to be tiny places.

Culture Room has gotta be larger than the shithole Brass Mug these guys played at on their last tour!! Unless I'm confusing it with something else, it is a nicer place, on a well-traveled strip of clubs on US-1 in Lauderdale -- never been there for a show, but I have hung out there w/ some South Florida death metal peeps and wasn't overwhelmed by the smallness.

Insofar as Jaxx & BB King's -- I'd guestimate Fire Marshall capacity of 500 or so; BB's observes this, Jay Nedry and Jaxx have shoved as many as 750 or so in! Both of those venues are laid out a bit better than the Culture Room, in terms of seeing the bands, as they both have higher, 2nd levels built up around the periphery of the venue (where the bars are located) So, the 2nd levels provide a good vantage point for tall people who are far sighted :) (which I am neither!)

Of the venues I've seen shows in on this tour (over half) -- my first choice in terms of sound quality and crowd responses would definitely be Philadelphia's Trocodero. If there's a band that I really, REALLY value their live performance and they've got a Troc-date on their itinerary, I always make it a point to take in shows at this venue!

Again, I think it is really thoughtful of you to exert such effort; I believe I'll be meeting you at the 2nd BBKing's show, so until then . . .

Cheers!

Thanks for the info... How did you find out about the show in Petaluma since I can't find that info anywhere.

6/03 Petaluma, CA The Phoenix Theatre 707.762.3566 201 Washington St. all ages

Brass mug is a shithole, they did some work though. Before, you had like 5 yards from the stage to the tables, now they move them for shows, they also removed that nasty kitchen. I always hated waking up the next morning smelling like old fry oil, this was the typical mug smell.

Anybody going to the Orlando or Tampa show let me know, maybe we can meet up and share some beer before the show.

Don't happen to live in Filthadelphia too do you?

Wooha. May 11th... fuck I better start saving money, this tour is going to be a Wallet-Leach if I've ever seen one.

I do live in Philadelphia. I lived in NY a while too, and believe me, it way filthier there!

Anyway, this is crazy- I have also been to half these clubs already that this tour is playing, these are the ones I have been too:

Chicago-House of Blues
Worcester-The Paladium
Poughkeepsie-The Chance
Philly-Trocadero
Springfield-Jaxx
Ft. Lauderdale-Culture Room
Tampa-The Masquerade
Hollywood-House Of Blues

And Tex, is Deep Ellum where we saw Immortal play in Texas?

I'd have to say that The HOB in Chicago and the Troc in Philly are tied for the best on my list...

Nah . . . the Canyon Club is where Immortal played with those loin-cloth wearers :tickled:!!

However, you remember the night before we saw Immortal? When we were hanging w/ Big Daddy and Andrew WK by Angel's store? That whole area where we had dinner and where Angel's store was located is referred to as Deep Ellum and the venue, Deep Ellum Live, was a block the other side of Subjugate . . . last band I saw there was Machine Head :loco: , but I have some very fond memories of dancing onstage w/ Ministry and the Revolting Cocks at this venue!!
