The bad thing is, in theory I fit the criteria of liking them but it just comes off as bad, awkward nwobhm that put boobs on the album cover in an attempt to catch my attention and has an occasional occult theme but really want to be a hair metal band. Maybe its because pagan altar exists.

I find the song love on smack entertaining, I guess.
 
I'll try some of The Sword later today. Looks like a controversial band in these waters.
 
I've liked PtH since I first heard them.

As far as The Sword goes, Gods of the Earth and Warp Riders are both solid in distinct ways. Was seriously disappointed in Apocryphon though.
 
I like DSBM, which seems to get a lot of flack. Some of it can be stomached by most, some cannot. I think this is one that I constantly see get trashed, which I understand, I used to hate Nattramn's vocals too, but one day it all shifted for me and now love it.
