I wonder.. how many of the metalbabes here at the ProgPower board are in Atlanta and how many are from elsewhere?? What instruments do you gals play? Are any of you in a band?

I live in metro Atlanta, I pretend that I play bass, and no one is bad enough to want me in a band with them, though Wishmaster here has recently mentioned having me over to jame with his band one day soon. Oh, and I pretend I can sing a little, too.
I've always wanted to get together an all-female kinda hard rock/punkish band and name it... don't laugh so hard you spit all over your monitor... get ready for it... Bitch Can't Count! lol (it's a long story)

I would need to hear some pretty good reviews before I paid to see that...All of the all female metal bands I have heard have been TERRIBLE....Kitty, Harlow from VH1's Bands on the Run and some band called Smut are the only three that come to mind. But hey. If you can pull it off, more power to ya.

there's a couple examples... from one extreme to another, but both good bands.
There was some female 3piece death metal band that was pretty good too, they only put out an ep but I can't recall the name. I'm generally not into death all that much, but they were pretty good.

This 3 piece DM band was Mythic, and that was kin dof a long time ago, early 90's, with the considerably hot Mary Bielich and Dana Duffey. I think it sucked, though.

I'm not a big fan of all-female bands, either, but there are certainly some kick-ass women in rock (though Rolling Stone is apparently ignorant of this :b).
I would also like to see a female Kiss tribute... "She" would be a great name! Too bad I'm better at names and concepts than I am at playing.
And, Mike, be careful what you wish--you may just get what you ask for, then Dave and Allan would be forever mad at you!

I'll never forget walking into the Echo Lounge here in Atlanta to see an all-girl band finishing their set with "Fat Bottom Girls". That was just damn funny.
And, Mike, be careful what you wish--you may just get what you ask for, then Dave and Allan would be forever mad at you!

The Iron Maidens are an all female band!? I have heard a lot about them (as far as them making apearances at different places and stuff). It is all so clear now. That is a great name for an all female Iron Maiden Tribute band. wow.
the bass player from that band just joined Half-Cocked as well... not an all female band, but 3/5 aint bad.. and it happens to be one of the best albums I've heard in that line of music in a long, long time.
