Metalcore

again the early stuffs good, i.e. converge saddest day era, ion dissonance early stuff, red chord - dreaming in dog years, but nowadays you've got bands like emmure from the states, its just pointless and discordant chugging, offends my ears

Everything Converge has done is awesome imo, but I agree about Ion Dissonance and The Red Chord (although they have other great songs - Sixteen Bit Fingerprint, Antman, Black Santa, Nihilist). And yeah, Emmure bring the lulz.

I used to be into the metalcore shit but i've totally lost interest in it although A7X do have some great songs musically

lol, fail.

I've been really digging the likes of Misery Signals and 7 Angels 7 Plagues lately. They have a borderline-almost indie influence to their music that I dig a lot.

They ruined the "Somebody's Watching Me" cover which pissed me off because the sample on Amazon.com was fantastic. Halfway through they just go "lalalala" with pretty synths while MICROSOFT FUCKING SAM NARRATES THE REST OF THE WORDS IN THE SONG WTF WHO THOUGHT OF THIS IDEA AHESDGF...I get pissed just thinking about it.

haha, saddest days unbeatable though, that album was intense, the dvd was a disappointment, wasn't into the sound quality n that, it sounds lame, but like when you buy a bands dvd, you don't wanna hear youtube cam footage haha, plus it was way too long... nihilist by the red chords a good un! anyone into old goodlife stuff? im stuck living in the past.

I just downloaded All Shall Perish's first album and it's fucking GOOD! I never cared much for The Price of Existence but Hate.Malice.Revenge is full of awesome riffs and well-placed brekadowns.

Funny album title

Track listing is interesting as well.

1. Replacing the lights (intro)
2. Peeling back the floorboards
3. What's behind the wall?
4. Only Dust Remains
5. Painting over the cracks
6. Hammer Smashed Painting
7. Grime ripped from a kitchen sink
8. Sofa (acoustic)

Shit I'm bored.
Will check out Maroon today I think, still haven't got round to it.

For those who haven't, check out Controller from Misery Signals - it's their new album. Probably some of their best production (done by Devin Townsend) and finally the use of clean vocals...it's weird because lead singer, Karl, did them, and they sound fucking good. I really didn't think he had it in him because he's a relatively monotone singer and they've never really used clean vocals before, but he pulled it and the album just kills overall.

I just got a weird gift: it's the last day of high school, and somebody left a pair of albums sitting on top of my car, over the driver's side door where I couldn't miss them. No idea who. Anyway, the albums were "The Fear Is What Keeps Us Here" by Zao and "Midwest Pandemic" by Twelve Tribes. They're off Ferret and their wikis claim that both are "post-hardcore/metalcore" and that TFIWKUH has a "black/death metal sound." Still a few more hours 'til I'm out of here (I discovered them while taking a quick drive to gas up during a study hall)- should I be looking forward to listening to these on the ride home, or is someone trying to gift me crappy music?
