Metallica?

Into the 'tallica.....just don't tell me you're a BIG FAN of newer shit. LOL It has it's place....it's good....but it's not METALLICA.

Not that my opinion matters, I have this to say. I am embarrassed to say this, but I did not get into Metallica until the black album, and looking back that was probably one of the worst metal albums ever. O.K., before anyone lashs out at me, hear me out. It was too popular and to many "hooks" in the songs. That is the album that would start there "sell out" phase. Look at the last two albums they put out. Total shit. I got hooked on them for that album, and wish now I had never heard it. There old stuff is so what Metal is all about and I really think few bands stay true to that. I love Megadeth but feel the same way about them. "Countdown" was the start of it all. Mustaine has been Quoted to say he knows they sold out and that he is happy because they were selling lots of albums. Metallica the same thing. They were both good bands in there time, but got away from where they started. Anthrax even has gotten away a little bit but not to the point they have. I wish I could go back in time and be around when all these band swere just getting started because I am sure it was just a good fucking time. All this new Thrash metal coming out, and it all being just Brutal.

Yeah another 'tallica fiend here, and I have all the albums and the video's, and yeah I agree, they were growing old disgracefully, although you can probably blame Lars for that. Jason and Kirk kept the faith as musicians. As music goes its true Load and reload, plus S&M do have their place, just maybe not when it gets compared to the stuff in the 80's. I like Load though.

I'm just waiting for Jason's Echobrain album to come out. March everywhere dudes!

I gotta be honest, though, if their past few albums had been released by another band, I'd probably like them. It's when it says Metallica on the front, you have certain expectations (one being that the album actually sounds METAL).
Oh well, I heard they're in the studio with Jay-Z. Finally jumping on the bandwagon fifteen years after Anthrax did it......

Please tell me the person above me is kidding! PUPPETS RULED! ORION is one of the best instrumentals ever!
ANYHOO....it's JA RULE, not JAY-Z. ECHOBRAIN is more pop than METALLICA ever could be....I downloaded 2 songs off of mtv.com and they suck! Sounds like NICKLEBACK to me...and I ain't kiddin'!
I was sad to see JASON go...he just wants to make music...not play other ppls music. But I think he's going down the wrong path w/ this new band. He's definatley going for a slot on trl by the sound of it.

I saw you are planning on going to the zoo. If you are still here, I have some advice as someone who has worked in visitor services at a zoo:

1. Read the fucking map.
2. Don't be shocked if the person worked the admission gate cannot tell you what animals are out.
3. If it rains, tough shit.
4. Don't try to pass your kid off as the age group below which he or she is. It's embarrasing when the kid tells the truth after the parents lies.
5. Even when employees pretend to care about your complaint, they don't and there's nothing they can do for you.
6. If the price is too high, you're free not to go in.

I could list about 600 things (seriously), but I will stop there.

Thats one of the main htings i like about Metallica, its the instrumental's, like Call of Khutlu and Orion. Anathesia (Pulling Teeth) is pretty cool an all.

They need to do more of them!

Saying Anathesia Pulling Teeth is pretty cool is such an understatement. It is such an amazing piece of music. What this songs shows is how good a bass player Cliff Burton was.

I love Metallica but refuse to buy an album after 'Metallica', I'm afraid of what I might hear. Kill 'em All is my favourite album, but I love them all (even 'Metallica').

Thank you for your concern about my trip to the Phoenix Zoo.

However:

1. My sister in law knows the place like the back of her hand, SHE'S my map.
2. IF the animals are out at all, most of them are chained down or looking horribly depressed. I'd rather they not be out.
3. It never rains in Phoenix.
4. While my son is almost as big as his two year old cousin, he's still not quite 10 months, and he's still eating mush, let alone talking.
5. I don't compliment anyone.
6. We get free passes from my mother in law.

And I feel sorry for anyone who has to work at that place or any other place like it.

growing up with the big four that being megadeth, anthrax metallica and slayer. I have to say that the only two that I still have respect for is megadeth and anthrax. Slayer has not been consistent enough for me personally. I do love slayer, and think that they did some great albums, but the new stuff they do, just don't cut it for me. As for metallica, I lost respect for them long ago. The black album had it's moments, but when load and re-load came out, I was just disgusted. Megadeth, has changed alot, but the music was still enjoyable, sure it's not as heavy as they were, but with the exception of risk, all of the albums have had something good about them. I am still a bigger fan of the belladonna anthrax, but that's cuz it's what i grew up with and will always hold it close to me.
IT WILL ALWAYS BE MEGADETH, ANTHRAX AND OVERKILL, PISS ON THE REST
