Would a cab directly to the hotel be faster? The hotel is a mile from the venue and roughly 13 miles from the airport. Seems like it would be a quick 15 minute trip unless traffic is bad at 6PM on a Wednesday. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Atlanta traffic is insane. I've done both driving and MARTA and I can assure you that you'll do better with MARTA.
