well, i'd love to see it. most studies on the effects marijuana are totally unprofessional and extremely biased.
Exactly, a good documentary for ignorant anti-cannabis people to watch would be this (it has 11 parts): [ame]http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=kMDVveEZjI8[/ame]
Not just the fact that you can't use it for its psychoactive properties is ridiculous when faced with the fact that the 2 biggest killers alcohol and especially tobacco are legal (it's healthier to smoke pure pot than tobacco, since even heavy pot use has been shown not to be linked to cancer, and research suggests it even has a protective effect by causing programmed cell death in tumors, although a certain amount of lung damage can obviously not be overcome since you're inhaling heated plant matter, but in no way comparable to the damage tobacco causes).
Combine that with all those young lives ruined by getting caught for simple posession in the US (and the billions of dollars and manpower wasted towards that "goal", that could be used to keep harder drugs off the street or for education and other things), the fact that the medicinal value of marihuana isn't being explored the way it should be (it's one of the safest therapeutically active substances there is, and has beneficial effects on at least 200 conditions, and probably many more but the research isn't being done), the fact that it could be used as a source of paper of higher quality than paper made from wood, can be made into food that contains all the essential amino acids and essential omega fatty acids, is one of the best potential sources for biofuel, can be used to make clothing and thousands of other products, etc...
This simply is the most useful plant on earth for humans, and in the US, not even the industrial type (contains almost no THC) is allowed to be grown. Why? Because of the companies that are in control of most of the money now, and don't want to lose it, and because of the political history of lies to serve other purposes.
Anyway, [/rant], this is just something which I find tragical, and I don't even live in the US!
Btw, if anyone wants to see some research papers on this subject, just ask, I can get most of the ones you have to pay for for free using my college connection.
