That is easy. Mikael's favorite song is Foreigner's "I want to know what love is." In fact, I believe he stated once that all of Opeth's tracks are, in some way or another, an ode to the passion that oozes from Foreigner's touching masterpiece. Also, that was a complete fabrication.

Morningrise was such a great album. Night and Silent Water is my favorite track. But, I love every song on that album almost equally. But, if I'm going to put that album on listen to one song; at least 7 out of ten times it'll be Silent Water. Two may be Nectar and the other would be Farewell.

Hmm, I don't think that was Martin Lopez.. I think it was both Mikael and Peter's least favourite Opeth song at one point. Then it changed for Mikael after playing the song live. But it could be Lopez's as well, I just can't remember it

If I remember correctly, at some point Mikael admitted that TN&TSW was his least favorite because it was somehow connected to the loss of his grandfather, so it was more because of this memory rather than the song itself.

i think Mikael's fave song would be ABBA's super trooper.. A good song to wake up and lift the spirits high... (completely unfounded of course... but you never know what one could have been in the mood for at a certain point in time. )

Also, Mikael eats lingonberries, exclusively; he drives a Volvo, and his home contains numerous poorly constructed pieces of furniture with funny names, and instead of morning coffee he drinks Absolut.
