okay, finally managed to get some free time to do some additional work on this.
inspired by the randy staub thread, i reworked the original mix (not the one listed above mind you...lol) doing some of the stuff mentioned there.
i did two versions....first one has pretty heavy 2bus compression in the vein of what's been said on the RS thread. it's slamming quite hard, but still has an interesting character...dunno. second one is with just basic compression on the 2bus, like 3db GR with 2:1 ratio. sounds a lot tamer and more traditional.
