I've been getting into a lot of rock music (The Black Keys, for example), and I'm realizing more and more that I'm not really sure how to mix rock music as opposed to metal. Since there's way too much ground to be covered about this subject in one thread, are there any links/resources that I could look to for mixing rock music?

During a few month subscription to Groove3 one of the videos I really enjoyed was Nick Gioia's "Mixing Rock" - it's an instructional video he did on mixing a rock/pop project. While it is a great primer for general mixing, he goes over many of the things that are more specific tho rock mixes. I think a one month subscription to Groove3 is a great investment as in that month you can watch any of their videos you might have an interest in. I'm a Sonar user so I watched all those videos, the ones on Kontakt, T-Racks, ..., even the one on Modern Country had some useful information (yes, I even watched that one).

The Systematic Mixing Guide will be out in a few days, and deals specifically with this alongside metal mixing.
