tbh I thought the injury in the very first prelim was even worse. I’ve never seen the colored part of someone’s eye fill with blood before. Must not be good because they stopped it immediately when they saw it.

I’m hoping they let Jacare go after that Holland smashing, he’s looked absolutely awful in his last two fights.

It’s dumb Dustin was even an underdog in that fight. Other than losing to Khabib since 2017 he’s beaten Pettis, Gaethje, Alvarez, Holloway, and Hooker. That’s a ridiculous fucking tear.

It's still not a fully matured sport, so it kinda goes through a revolution every 3-5 years as new wrinkles change the "rock, paper, scissors" dynamic up. One thing I like about boxing and other "single discipline" fight sports is that they represent matured, fully developed, stable "systems," so it's easier to get apples-to-apples comparisons between the fighters.

I can’t believe I just watched Alistair Overeem beaten to a pulp like he was. Sure Ngannou tearing his head off is one of the ugliest knockouts ever but what Drago did to him tonight was horrific. He just kept crushing him with every blow. It’s like his hands were fucking anvils. Every time he hit reem he drew more and more blood. He didn’t even go in for the finish every time he hurt him.

I wanted him to lose but I never expected him to be completely fucked like that. It was like watching a child pummeled by a bully, except the child was one of the greatest mma fighters of all time and the bully didn’t even enjoy what he was doing.



Oh and that fight before this one, Frankie Edgar’s chin is reportedly orbiting Saturn. Much uglier than the Askren shot imo.
