It also has serious security vulnerabilities, winds up being pretty limiting in common use, doesn't add much that can't just be pulled together by hand (and you can just use bloody SSH with an iPhone if you're concerned with that), and makes it harder for more than one person to collaborate safely and easily, but if that's how you want to do it then good luck and let me know if I can do anything for you.

Jeff

Yes Jeff, I'm well aware.
Security: Nothing is truely secure these days. Professionally, I am a security admin and am well aware of such vulnerabilities.
Limited: Compared to something like a CMS, yes. But I deemed a CMS overkill for what I wanted.
Design by hand: Yes, I could easily have done it by hand, but I simply don't have the time to invest, especially when I just want to focus on just getting content on there. A static XHTML site would have also limited mobile editing possibilities.
SSH: Unfortunately my host charges more for SSH access. Have you used SSH on the iPhone? I wouldn't possibly consider updating a website from it on a regular basis. Even the Terminal for the iPhone is a nightmare to use compared to a terminal on any *nix environment. The Wordpress iPhone app allows me to do numerous things easily.
I'd love to hear suggestions from people:
Site structure, content, articles, tutorials etc. The more valuable content I have, the better!

OpenBSD begs to differ...

OpenBSD: Because even if someone *did* penetrate your system, there wouldn't be anything to do...

If anything I've done is of use, feel free to use anything I've posted as long as it's unedited (formatting can change, content can't), has my name on it, and is freely available.

 I love the OpenBSD quote! Wasn't NextStep based off BSD which Apple then bought?! Either way, using the terminal on a *nix or Mac is something I've come to both love and loathe.
With regards to content, I can assure you that the only changes I am making are purely formatting corrections and very light editing. Please feel free to check out the current progress of the OzNimbus drum guide if in doubt: http://thoughtsofruin.com/index.php/production/faqs-guides/drums/acoustic-drums-for-metal/

OS X uses a lot of BSD tools but is based on the Mach kernel (which was made - and then abandoned, in a stunning display of confidence - at Carnegie Mellon for research) and has been tacking on more and more stuff of less respectable heritage with mixed results.

Yeah, seeing all of the NextStep references in the iPhone SDK doesn't exactly fill me with confidence!

Hey Niall, good work on the page. I really like the style and colours, not that it's the most important thing but it does matter. The layout is nice, too. Cheers :kickass:

Cheers, I just grabbed an off-the-shelf template as I wanted to focus on the content. The menu could be better, but I just slapped it onto the template in a few minutes. It does the job and I'm sure that when I've got a lot more stuff on there, it will be a valuable resource.
