Modern Symphonic Black Metal with good production?

I try and try to listen to black metal but I have a tough time finding things I can enjoy... and minimalist production is just a wall I cant climb. I'm not much for the "old school" sound either...

A few I've found I really like are
Dimmu Borgir - Stormblast
Ceremonial Castings - Barbaric is the Beast

Errr, isn't that album pretty old and has some very low-quality production? I assume you're talking about the MMV, in that case do yourself a favor and go on youtube and find the guy that mixed the old Stormblast with the MMV and you will be a changed man. The original is a classic no matter what Dimmu Borgir may have become in later years..

Btw why hasn't anyone recommended Death Spell Omega yet? Modern black metal with fairly good production..last time I checked everyone was hopping on DSO's cocks?

Tvangeste- Firestorm
Dekadent- The Deliverance of the Fall (some of the songs are doom, some are black metal, but it's all symphonic)

I'm also going to recommend Hellveto. While it's not black metal per se, it's symphonic and exhibits a similar aura as that of black metal.

For the record. I brought up Watain because fans of symphonic black metal tend to enjoy their latest. A lot. They also tend to like Dawn.

DSO has has terrible production for the most part (excepting their latest EP), everything clashes and it's very noisy. I love the band to death but wouldn't say they have good production on Fas... or Si Momentum....

Watain's latest was a pretty good call actually.

DSO just makes my head hurt, tbh.

Black metal is something I was always interested in playing, but until now I simply hadn't had the tools. Luckily I am able to add symphonic nuances to my work and am shits n giggles honestly. The two most influential albums for me were Dimmu Bogir Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Old Mans Child Vermin, mainly the first track Enslaved And Condemned because the solo is fucking gnarly, it sounds evil as fuck to me for some reason

I'm not talking at all about their covers; I'm talking about their music.

Well...

It's a shame that their line-up was forged in the depths of Mordor, considering that their music is such shit and their image is laughable at best.

Bring back Thy Serpent plz
